How we cover our promises​

Our annuities offer guaranteed regular income payable for life, or for a chosen investment term. So how do we cover our promises made to you?

We invest alongside you

We’re required to contribute our own money into the same Statutory Fund where your money is held. All payments to our customers are made from this Fund. 

We are APRA regulated

Challenger Life is regulated and monitored by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority, which also regulates the banking, insurance and superannuation industries. 

We cover market shocks

If our investments in the Statutory Fund don’t earn as much as expected, we’ll still aim to ensure our customers get their payments.

At Challenger we take customer service seriously which is demonstrated by our high customer service ratings and the great feedback we receive from our customers. Our customer service team are Australian based and readily available to answer your questions Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6pm AEDT.
